The sun FINALLY came out in Boston today. I’m one of those people whose mood is seriously affected by the weather. I can handle 1-2 dreary days in a row, but after that it really starts to take a toll on my overall happiness. Pair 5 straight days of no sun, temperatures in the single digits, and pregnancy hormones, and you get one very depressed little mama.
Anyway, the sunshine made me super productive today which meant lots of work accomplished, laundry done, and Instagram comments responded to! One thing I’ve gotten quite a few requests for is ‘office attire’ for the winter months.
Depending on where you live, finding the motivation to get dressed up during the dreary winter months can be tough. So here are some easy outfit combinations that you can pull together in the wee hours of the morning when you’re way too cold and tired to put forth the extra effort.
As you can see, this is my favorite work-wear combo.
To me, there is just something super chic about the black tights and boots look.
Give me a trench coat to pair on top and you’ve got my favorite outfit!
Okay so back when I started my first #biggirljob out of college,
I pretty much lived in little dresses and sweaters because I hated the way
dress pants looked on me. THEN I realized I just wasn’t wearing the right cuts for my frame.
For smaller girls- I recommend these slim leg boot cut trousers paired with 2-3 inch heels
and THESE ankle pants with either a modest heel or flats.
Also, buy this cashmere sweater in like every color and then pair blazers and
statement necklaces over top… super easy and chic!
PS- Buy these pumps in black and nude. They are so flattering and comfortable.
The cutout on the side helps elongate the leg.
This classic look always makes me feel super ‘on-point’
like I can conquer the world when I wear it. Unfortunately, Boston Winters are entirely
too cold to wear skirts, but if you’re somewhere weather permitting- definitely
try this combo out!
