Hi Friends- Happy Hump Day. Hope you all had a great Halloween. Mauricio and I didn’t do much, just hung around the apartment and I made a pretend costume just to make him laugh/take some Instagram photos.
What was really unique/weird about the trick-or-treaters here in Boston is that no one comes and rings your doorbell? I bought 2 bags of candy to give out only to later realize that none of the kids were ringing bells. Apparently here if you are giving out candy you have to go sit outside on your stoop and hand it out there.
I guess that makes sense though since it’s predominantly apartments around this area so they probably figure that if you’re not sitting outside you probably don’t want to walk up and down the stairs for every trick-or-treater.
Seeing all the little kiddos costumes made Mauricio and I really excited for next year when we have a little one to dress up and take around. Mauricio is already on the ‘what she we dress up as?’ thought train. lol.
Anyway, most of y’all voted for more health/fitness related posts– so I’m going to try to start dedicating Wednesdays to that topic that way I make sure I’m covering it at least once a week.
Every time I take a picture of my protein smoothie I get questions about what I use in it, so to kick off this series I figured I’d start with that!
This morning I had more time to sit around and watch tv while eating, so rather than pouring my smoothie in a to-go cup, I poured it in a bowl and put some other fun toppings on it.
1 Scoop Vega Protein and Greens Smoothie Powder (I like the Vanilla flavor)
1/2 Cup Ice
1 Cup Un-Sweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
1/2 Frozen Banana
1/4 Cup Frozen Blueberries
1-2 Packets of Stevia
Blend blend blend until it reaches whatever consistency you prefer. Add more ice to make it thicker or more almond milk to thin it up a bit. Then pour in either a cup or bowl, top with toppings of choice, and enjoy!
Hope y’all enjoy!! Let me know your favorite smoothie bowl toppings down below <3
