Our New Home

Hi friends, happy Sunday!

(I wrote this last night and fell asleep before publishing…oops)

My energy is a bit low today, as I’m mentally preparing for my first week in my new role tomorrow (Mauricio starts his new job tomorrow as well) and trying to clean up the apartment a bit, as we have TONS of empty boxes and moving junk all around the apartment right now.

We are learning to wrap our heads around the fact that this is going to be a LONG process though, and that it doesn’t all need to be done this week.

We did cross some significant things off the list this week though! We bought a couch (to be delivered next Sunday), a bed, a bed-frame and bedding, bar stools, a desk, a vanity, and a new tv and sound system!

So although our apartment still seems very bare,  we ARE making progress. Slowly, but surely. I figured once we start ‘completing’ rooms (I mean is a woman ever really ‘finished’ decorating?) I will share some before and after pictures, but for now- here is an empty tour of our apartment 🙂

So coming in from the street, you first walk through the main door, then our door, up our first set of staircases, then you can either turn into the kitchen, bathroom, laundry area, or living room.

Marley loves how big the window seats are here

Guest bedroom^ idk why but it’s really hard to get a good shot of the bedrooms…

So far we really love our new apartment- the layout makes it feel very spacious since it’s two floors. The first floor is the living room, kitchen, and guest bathroom, and the top floor is our master bedroom, the guest bedroom, and the master bathroom.

It’s not too big where we feel like we are wasting space, but its a nice size where if we want to watch two different shows (more often than not) we can each go to different rooms and not be fighting over the tv 🙂

Marley is making herself more at home as the days go by, she LOVES the new king bed. She rolls around on her back with her paws in the air and her tummy up for us to pet her- its so cute.

Anyways, thats our little empty home for you! Can’t wait for it to be furnished so I can show y’all the before and after…I’m ordering the prettiest stuff 🙂 Thankfully Mauricio doesn’t have the time or energy to look at decor, so I basically get full reign 😉

xoxo, Abby
