I’m starting a new series called “Dallas Hot Spots”. Originally I was going to make it one big post, but then I realized just how many different spots I want to tell y’all about… and it’s WAY too long for one post.
So I’m going to break it up into different sections that way I can actually give some insight into the various places rather than just provide a long list (which would probably be really overwhelming).
If you know me, you know I LOVE to sit outside. If there is an outdoor seating option and it’s under 100 degrees outside, you better believe I’m going to try to snag a table. Unfortunately not everyone shares this sentiment, so more often than not I’m stuck sitting inside with the rest of the group staring out the window at where I could be sitting. lol.
So, it’s no surprise that I’m starting off the series with my favorite rooftop bars + restaurants.
Here are some of my favorite spots in Dallas where your friends + family won’t be able to pass up the opportunity to sit outside…
STIRR: Deep Ellum
If you’re from Dallas, you’ve likely seen pictures of this new trendy bar + restaurant. Even if you don’t think you have, I’m sure the insta-famous picture of their steps will jog your memory.
My two favorite things to order: the Shrimp or the Salmon Salad! 🙂
(banana french toast) I obviously didn’t order this, but I’m including it in here because it’s one of their most popular items! Would be a good dessert option if you come here in a large group…. or if you just really have a sweet tooth. lol.
Happiest Hour: Harwood District
They have the perfect combination of both foodie-food as well as health-concious items, so no matter what kind of eater you are you will leave satisfied!
HG Sply Co: Lower Greenville
Fun fact: I had a short stint working here one summer while I was trying to make some extra money during my time working full time for Hyatt.
If there is vegetable crudite on the menu, you better believe I’m going to get it #eatyourveggies
Their frozen mule is life changing!
Here are the items I order: Greens & Grains Salad, Roasted Cauliflower, or Salad with Salmon. I also like to make my own bowl with brussel sprouts & grilled chicken if I’m not feeling a salad or the cauliflower.
This is something I would encourage my fiance to order. He likes red-meat and absolutely hates salads or any type of vegetable (yes, we are polar opposites) so this is something that would satisfy him while still being healthy.
They too have the perfect combination of foodie and health conscious items! This is my future in-laws favorite spot.
I hope y’all enjoy these spots as much as I do!
