The Choker Trend

Hi friends!

Happy Thursday. Today I’m going cake tasting for the wedding, so I’ll be on a bit of a sugar high 🙂

In honor of yesterdays post, I’m doing a round up of all my favorite chokers and layered necklaces. I’m loving this trend lately because it can make even the most simple t-shirt look so much better. In fact, for St. Pattys Day I wore a dark green velvet choker with a super simple brandy-melville tee and I absolutely loved the look. It also helped add some green to my outfit because I literally don’t own anything green other than utility jackets and cardigans so when I found the green choker in my jewelry case I was like omg hallelujah. lol.

Anyways, so the two chokers I wore in my instagram post yesterday were from different retailers. The tightest one is from Aldo and actually came with 3 separate necklaces, but the bottom two looked cheap so I really just bought it for the one. I then combined it with a layered necklace I ordered from Revolve.

The one from Revolve was a bit on the pricey side (for a choker at least) but I combine it with a lot of my other chokers so I think it’s worth it.

Below you can find all my favorite (reasonably priced) necklaces– when I was putting this together I found the most outrageously priced “designer” chokers and couldn’t help but laugh. There was a pink velvet one that looked like it cost maybe $1 to make and they had it listed for $325. I about spit out my coffee when I saw it.

Anyways, all of the necklaces below are ready to shop so all you have to do is click on the image and it’ll take you directly to the purchase page 🙂

happy shopping!

  1. Oh my goodness ALL of my students (girls at least) are wearing chokers. I have to say over the course of the school year, I have become quite a fan! I will definitely be checking these out.

    • haha oh I can’t even imagine seeing all of the trends on your students. Are they wearing Jean skirts again? I’ve noticed that trend is coming back too. I have to say that the choker trend is A LOT better than it used to be… at least we aren’t wearing panty hoes around our necks anymore. Ha!

  2. It’s funny how things come back into style! I love chokers and the fact that there are so many styles compared to when they came out in the 90s!
